The crossroads of innovation for ACTIA

ProDays

Prodays 2024, an unmissable event for professionals in the e-bike sector, where all the action happens. ACTIA Micromobility forged vital links with partners such as Ymagine Bikes, Flying Cat, and Sodium Cycles, and there’s no telling what other innovative partnerships could emerge at this year’s event! ACTIA is pleased to announce that it will once again be taking part in this event, which will be held at the MEETT in Toulouse from 23 to 25 June 2024, underscoring its local involvement and its commitment to the Vélo Vallée Occitanie cluster.

Emblematic bikes symbolising innovation and excellence

At Prodays, ACTIA forged unique partnerships with several French brands known for their innovation and excellence. These collaborations have given rise to iconic electric bikes, the product of French expertise and quality. Prodays brings together these bikes at the same event, offering a unique opportunity to discover and test them.

  • The “connected bike” from Ymagine Bikes: A connected bike equipped with ACTIA’s latest mid-drive motor, the Smart Rider. It also incorporates advanced connectivity and data management technologies. Innovative features make this model stand out, offering an enhanced user experience and optimal management for manufacturers and distributors.
  • Flying Cat’s Occitan EABs: These bikes were selected in the framework of experimental programmes initiated by the Occitanie Region. The project covers the development of a long-term hire service for secondary school students and regular train users. The connectivity ACTIA provides plays a central role, enabling data to be collected and analysed in real time to optimise the performance and maintenance of bikes in circulation.
  • “XUBAKA,” the electric bike from Sodium Cycles: With ACTIA, the Sodium Cycles team has found the means to design and finalise an EAB with bold specifications. This EAB features a sleek, screen-free design, and a single-speed transmission requiring expertise in intuitive motor control software and intelligent sensor management, which ACTIA was able to provide in order to deliver the expected performance.

Connectivity and services: “ACTIA’s connectivity was the main draw for these partner brands, who view this feature as the ‘icing

on the cake’ for their electric bikes.

ACTIA, a pioneer in connected mobility solutions, designed the Smart Rider mid-drive motor. The first on the market to adopt an open architecture, this motor offers advanced connectivity based on the SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) concept. Inspired by ACTIA’s experience in the automotive industry, this innovation marks a major breakthrough in the sector.

Thanks to this innovative architecture, ACTIA offers a comprehensive range of connected services to support every player in the micromobility value chain throughout the life cycle of the electrically-assisted bike (EAB). Aimed at cyclists, brands, fleet managers, and manufacturers, these services range from remote diagnostics to custom riding modes, effectively setting a new standard in the sector.

Meet the key players in the sector at the Vélo Vallée Occitanie Cluster at PRODAYS 2024

As a leader in on-board electronics for urban transport buses, ACTIA is actively involved in emerging forms of mobility. The micromobility market—particularly the electric bike market—is integrating increasingly sophisticated electronic components, which are highly conducive to innovation. With a boost from its longstanding expertise in on-board systems, ACTIA is prepared to stand out in this competitive environment. By joining the Vélo Vallée Occitanie Cluster, ACTIA is establishing a strategic partnership with all the players in the cycling industry, helping to promote local innovation and raise the profile of its region in this sector.
