On 1 July 2021, ACTIA Telecom, the telecommunications division of the ACTIA Group, acquired the software business of HYMATOM, a company specializing in Video Management Systems (VMS).
A LOGICAL ACQUISITION IN LINE WITH ACTIA’S RECENT ACTIVITIES
This business transaction is in fact the continuation of a close collaboration that began in 2019 between ACTIA Telecom and HYMATOM regarding the development of VMS software for public safety purposes. The acquisition concerns the ownership of the software solution and the development activity and services associated with it.
ACTIA Telecom now provides the operational maintenance services for the software solution contracts. These services will be performed by the same staff, who are now employed by ACTIA Telecom.
ACTIA CONSOLIDATES ITS GLOBAL PASSENGER TRANSPORT SAFETY AND VIDEO-SURVEILLANCE OFFERING
The range of video security applications equipped with the VISIOSPACE software includes numerous innovations and extensive functions to enhance video-surveillance systems and business applications:
- Viewing;
- Recording;
- Multi-criteria image searches and live viewing;
- Monitoring of GIS mapping;
- Video analysis and artificial intelligence;
- Finding and tracking moving objects;
- Monitoring of dynamic or connected urban objects; etc.
ACTIA therefore now owns technology that it has already tried and tested as part of a connected trains project in partnership with HYMATOM and SNCF (innovative real-time train camera video surveillance via a 4G network). This acquisition boosts ACTIA’s connectivity offering for its on-board and ground solutions and enables the Group to provide its customers with a comprehensive approach to security and on-board monitoring for passenger transport.
ACTIA BOOSTS ITS SMART MOBILITY VALUE-ADDED OFFERING
The VISIOSPACE solution has already been adopted by many cities to meet their urban video-surveillance needs. It therefore comes as a boost to ACTIA’s Smart Mobility services, since the Group intends to develop this video-surveillance activity for local authorities, in line with its value-added offering for safer, more connected and sustainable urban mobility.
