ACTIA reveals the new functions of its Hypervision solution at ExpoProtection fair

ACTIA is looking forward to meeting with urban safety professionals at the ExpoProtection trade fair, which is being held from 15 to 17 November in Paris at Porte de Versailles. At its stand, ACTIA will be showcasing the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence, applied to both its Hypervision and video-protection platforms.

A video-protection solution designed for interactive, ergonomic, and intuitive cartographic functions

Cartographic management of video streams

ACTIA’s Hypervision solution is a cartographic software intended for use in urban safety and on sensitive sites. Developed according to a concept of cartographic management of video streams, it can be used to supervise and control a wide range of connected objects, such as CCTV cameras, in addition to:
– access control systems,
– intrusion alarm units,
– mobile terminals featuring geolocation (PTI and vehicles etc.)

The solution also manages all manner of dynamic urban equipment, such as:

– public lighting,
– traffic lights,
– retractable bollards,
– barriers,
– intercoms, etc.

The integration of artificial intelligence functions offers new possibilities, such as:

– Optimized image searches based on metadata from cameras and analysis servers;
– Operator alerts based on real-time detection of abnormal situations, etc.

Hypervision also makes it possible to:

– Navigate between cameras in augmented reality;
– Share information between operators and services;
– Connect remote sites and transfer to government services, etc.

This wide range of functions makes ACTIA’s Hypervision a powerful smart city software, and the ideal decision-making tool for those working in urban safety.

ACTIA’s Hypervision has been tried and tested by Amiens Métropole for more than 10 years

When a severe storm hit Amiens in December of 2005, the issues encountered revealed the local authority’s need for an effective decision-making tool. We needed to collect and centralize data, to be able to implement suitable actions in crisis situations, but also to add more specific functions to effectively manage public services on a daily basis.

As a result, ACTIA developed the hypervisor for Amiens to respond to this political and operational need. Today, the many functions of ACTIA’s hypervisor are used to dynamically manage public spaces, buildings, and human resources across the community. Operators especially appreciate having all of these functions centralized in a single interface.

In the near future, we hope to see the tool offer new functions, such as:
Automated aids to help search for video evidence, notably through the use of artificial intelligence. I know this is something ACTIA is working towards;
The possibility of interacting with variable-message road signs, for example in SEVESO zones;
And perhaps extending these interactions to risk management (public alerts).

This is a solution that we are watching closely.”

Attests Olivier BRUNET, Head of Programming within the Real Estate and Logistics Department for the local authority of Amiens.

With 14 to 17% of turnover invested in R&D each year, the ACTIA Group is able to innovate, which allows it to update the solution, integrating the latest technological components, such as smart video analysis. The platform also benefits from the ACTIA Group’s ability to combine innovation with commercial opportunities on long-standing markets, with an initial success on the railway market.
