ACTIA took part in the general meeting of RobAgri, the agricultural robotics association, which was held in May in Vichy. Two exciting days saw industry experts come together with a program including agricultural equipment, agroecology and robotics, AI, cybersecurity and the Great Robotics Challenge (Grand Défi Robotique). Wonderful challenges for the ACTIA group.
RobAgri brought together a panel of experts on agricultural robotics
The RobAgri association is growing fast, joining together key players in agricultural equipment, robotics startups, equipment manufacturers, research laboratories and agricultural cooperatives.
Its last general meeting took place over two days full of discussion and ideas in Vichy and at the INRAE testing site in Montoldre (Allier département) and hosted major players in agriculture, including INRAE, as well as experts in agricultural equipment, agroecology, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. These meetings provided an opportunity to discuss current and future challenges facing robotics in the agricultural sector.
Demonstrations organized by INRAE focused on the implementation of test procedures for agricultural robots moving along a path. It demonstrated the capabilities of robots and highlighted the technological advances made in this field.
ACTIA shares its expertise in cybersecurity
During the meeting, Sébastien Rabaud, who is in charge of cybersecurity at ACTIA, led a workshop on one of the growing themes in agricultural robotics: cybersecurity.
He presented an overview of cybersecurity in the private vehicle, bus and truck sectors and highlighted the expected changes in regulations in this area, including an update of the Machinery Directive governing agricultural equipment and construction machinery.
The ACTIA Group has been heavily involved in cybersecurity for years and will start a workshop within RobAgri to raise awareness and disseminate the methodology for addressing cybersecurity in agricultural robotics.
