“New Conquerors of the Economy” ranking awarded by L’Institut Choiseul for 2021. L’Institut Choiseul is a private and independent think tank dedicated to the analysis of international strategic issues and global economic governance. Each year, it publishes a study entitled “The New Conquerors of the Economy” in Forbes magazine. This ranking highlights French companies, ranging from start-ups to large groups listed on the CAC 40, and which are driving the dynamics of conquest on the market. For the 2021 edition, the ACTIA Group, as a manufacturer of electronic systems, has made its entry into the “Innovation spearheads” category.
This category recognises companies that make innovation one of their key competitive differentiating factors and that have established themselves as major players in research and development. Through their dynamic quest for new solutions and their investment in the technologies of the future, they contribute to increased competitiveness and enhance the added value of French companies.
ACTIA is innovating for the mobility of the future
This recognition reflects ACTIA Group’s innovative approach, which guides its efforts to achieve three major goals: Smart Mobility, Smart Cities and Smart Manufacturing (Factory of the Future).
For the past 35 years, ACTIA has been supporting the profound changes in the Group’s markets, namely, the automotive, aerospace, railway, telecommunications, and energy markets. A policy of on-going investment
Innovation is the key to competitiveness in these increasingly demanding markets and requires significant investments year after year. ACTIA invests between 14 and 17% of sales into R&D each year. This budget for 2020 amounted to €76 million for a turnover of €439 million (i.e., 17% of its turnover).
