2022: An excellent year for “Quality” for ACTIA Automotive…

…which renewed 6 of its certifications.
The end of the year was busy in terms of Quality for ACTIA, which underwent an audit on 6 of its 9 certifications. 9001 and 14001, 9100 and 9110 for aviation, IATF 16949 for automotive, and IRIS for the railway market. These audits in demanding markets are indicative of an excellent result for the company as whole, and most notably for its showcase industrial site: ACTIA Colomiers. Despite the difficult context, this site has maintained a high standard of Quality, and its position as the most highly certified EMS site in Europe.

Strong points identified by the auditors

With no major non-conformities detected over the course of the audits, ACTIA boasts an excellent Quality record. This is a point of pride for all employees, at both the company’s head office and the factory in Colomiers.

The company has stayed the course, despite disruptions due to the component crisis. This result proves the robustness of its processes and the agility of the entire organisation.

The auditors highlighted the following strong points for ACTIA:

  • Overall management of the component crisis: enacted at all levels of the organisation, and especially the command centre; the effectiveness of its Resilience plan, and the implementation of the Daily Management System. The DMS is used to structure the entire daily operational system: in order to maintain the operational excellence of the factory.
  • Keeping the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) indicators at the required level. Thanks to an effective program of investment to limit its environmental impact, ACTIA Colomiers has kept a consistent energy consumption level since 2016, despite increasing production means.
The auditors also underscored ACTIA’s commitment to sorting its waste.
  • The efforts to ensure skills development opportunities, especially with the acceleration of online learning.

Results achieved by a clear and ambitious industrial strategy: with a focus on customers

The audits highlighted the transparency and commitment of the ACTIA teams in their dealings with various stakeholders: from suppliers to customers.

“The good results are due to a customer-oriented strategy that we will continue to prioritise. This strategy also focuses on the continuing development of our own staff. The efficiency of our plant is only possible with the commitment and investment of our teams, and a very high level of skills. Our teams are dealing with environmental issues and are working to develop digital technologies.

We will continue to pursue this strategy in order to increase our operational excellence, drawing on World Class Manufacturing (WCM): with a great ambition to improve and grow our customer-first approach with full transparency and with all of our employees engaged in this aim.”

Explains Olivier MIQUEL, Director of the ACTIA Colomiers ACTIA factory.
