The protection system of the Digital Control-Command Protection project (DCCP from the Relyance range) developed by the Energy division of ACTIA Telecom, the group’s Telecom division, is integrated into the largest ENEDIS training centre: the La Pérollière campus (Rhône). This is an opportunity for the 20,000 trainees expected on the campus by 2024 to learn about HTB/HTA source substation jobs using ACTIA equipment.
At La Pérollière, trainees will be trained on platforms equipped by ACTIA
To promote know-how and performance to facilitate the ecological transition, ENEDIS is engaged in an extensive renovation programme at its largest training site in France, located at the crossroads of the municipalities of Saint-Pierre-La-Palud and Sain-Bel in the Rhône.
The company, which provides its employees with most of their professional training through internal structures, aims to make La Pérollière the flagship site for the ecological transition in the regions and in the daily lives of the French.
The distinctive feature of the Saint-Pierre-de-Palud training centre is its source substation equipment. This industrial electrical structure links high-voltage HTB/HTA power lines. At the borderline between the electrical power transmission and distribution networks, it reduces the voltage of the HTB network to the voltage level of the HTA network in order to distribute electricity to customers via medium- and low-voltage networks.
ENEDIS trains its employees in the very specific profession of “Specialist Intervention Technician” in electricity, so the 10,000 trainees expected each year on the site will become familiar with monitoring and checking source substations on platforms equipped with ACTIA equipment.
ENEDIS trains some 10,000 employees in the very specific profession of “Specialist Intervention Technician” in electricity, so several hundred of them will become familiar with monitoring and checking source substations on platforms equipped with ACTIA equipment.
ACTIA became one of ENEDIS’ main suppliers of digital control-command protection systems (DCCP) in 2021
ACTIA’s equipment has earned the customer’s trust by offering innovative, fully modular equipment adapted to each source substation topology.
- Emphasis was placed on:
- simplifying the configurations
- offering more ergonomic solutions
- and easier maintenance of equipment.
As an extension of its innovations, ACTIA Telecom provides all the services associated with the supply of its equipment in order to maintain total control of the projects entrusted by Enedis: installation, configuration, internal acceptance, factory acceptance with the customer, on-site acceptance, technical assistance after deployment and maintenance in operational condition over many years.
This contract illustrates ENEDIS’ commitment to ACTIA with regard to the upgrading of more than 80 substations over four years, a quarter of the national market. To date, 25 source substations are equipped or in the process of being equipped with the ACTIA DCCP solution.
ACTIA Telecom is particularly proud to contribute to this large-scale modernisation project at La Pérollière, designed to support the digitalisation of the electric power distribution network and the development of renewable energy and electric mobility.
